Dato’ Donny Koh is a self-made serial entrepreneur having learned his rope in business at the young age of 19 years old. He ventured into Security Surveillance Systems in 2003, and at the peak, his company was managing projects worth a total of RM10mil performing design, installation and commissioning for hospitals, high rise buildings, housing projects, and offices both private and state-owned. For several years he even manufactured and sold CCTVs under his own brand, GuardTech. Dato’ Donny exited this business for good in 2019 to focus on other ventures.
Over the years, with the capital on hand, he multiply his successes in other industries including property, automobile NGV, pawnshops, manpower supply, retail , ecommerce, sand & granite quarry mining, blockchain and most recently the wellness and beauty industry.
As the youngest son in a family of 4 siblings, he is often the one receiving the short end of the stick due to poverty. In order to earn some income to support himself, he traded pre-loved apparels. That was his foray into business and he loved it ever since. Along the way, he has worked his way up, learning and observing from his bosses who would give him a chance despite his lack of formal education.
Dato’ Donny, is known for one who spots a profitable trend at its infancy, and moves fast to capture the opportunity. This is credited to his entry into entrepreneurship at an early age and paid his fair share of trial and turbulences that made him a shrewd businessman that he is today.
Despite his successes, Dato’ Donny never forgot his humble origins. He’s thankful to those who have helped him and given him the opportunities to prove himself. He repays these kindness by contributing time, energy and money to various NGOs, and associations. Every year, he never fails to provide provisions to several orphanages, old folk’s homes, and to the less fortunate. In recognition of his various humanitarian and philanthropic efforts, he was conferred the following titles:
B.K.T (BINTANG KHIDMAT TERPUJI- 2010),
B.C.M (BINTANG CEMERLANG MELAKA – 2013),
A.M.P (AHLI MAHKOTA PAHANG- 2014),
D.S.M (DARJAH SERI MELAKA-2016 ) and,
D.S.A.P (DARJAH SULTAN AHMAD SHAH PAHANG -2017)
He is also an active member of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), and Malacca Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (MCCI).

In early 2019, he was exposed to Sacha Inchi by 3rd generation herbalist, AL-LECCA’s founder, David Chan and since then he has kept a watchful eye on the development in this space. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in early 2020, it accelerated Dato’ Donny’s venture into the health industry and one of the sectors that he started is to produce and retail health foods and supplements. Sacha Inchi based products became AL-LECCA’s entry into this industry. He hopes that AL-LECCA’s products will help people to strengthen their immunity and overcome various diseases.
